The weather forecast looks best for Saturday, June 13. However, this is New England, the weather forecast is changing daily. Please check your e-mail or call me Friday night to make sure we don't have to make a last minute change. If there is no notice, we are on for Saturday as planned.
We will depart at 8:00 am from McDonalds in Cromwell on Rt-372 at I-91 exit 21. A second departure point will be at McDonalds in Winsted on Rt-8 just north of the end of the interstate highway section. The group from Cromwell should arrive in Winsted about 9:00 am and all will depart at 9:15 am.
The ride to Bennington will follow Rt-8 north to Rt-20 west to Rt-7 north to Bennington. We will take a break just north of Pittsfield at a Duncan Donuts.
A favorite eatery in Bennington is the Blue Ben diner. Seating is limited, so if we have a big turnout, we will split up for lunch and compare restaurant reviews later.
The route back has options (all include ice cream). We will choose a route or routes after lunch.
Ride east on Rt-9 to Rt-100 to Rt-112 to Rt-2 to I-91 south in Greenfield, MA. Very scenic ride. Ride I-91 south to Cromwell. 253 miles round trip. Home after 4:30 pm.
Ride east on Rt-9 to Rt-100 to Rt-112 and stop in Shelburne Falls. Very scenic ride. Ride Rt-112 to Rt-116 to South Deerfield. Scenic and twisty. Ride I-91 south to Cromwell. 270 miles round trip. Home after 6:00 pm.

Ride Rt-202 then Rt-10 south to Farmington. Ride Rt-9 to Cromwell. Some highway but bypasses Springfield and Hartford. 280 mile round trip. Home after 7:00 pm.
Return by the same route. Very little highway. 250 miles round trip. Home after 5:00 pm.
